This primer helps to build common ground on local food by informing people about challenges and opportunities facing Kingston and countryside’s food system. Starting with an overview of the food system itself, the primer examines specifics for Kingston and area, before moving on to look at some local food success stories from other areas. Lastly, the primer discusses how we can learn from successes elsewhere and adapt various approaches to build a local food system on the strengths of our region. 74 pages.
This booklet is our way of sharing what Food Down the Road (FDTR) is, how far we have made it on the road towards a sustainable local food system for Kingston and countryside, and ways to get involved with us!
