ASI supports Ontario farmers in adopting new technologies and best management practices that improve soil health, water quality and energy efficiency. Cost-share funding is available for projects that enhance on-farm productivity, sustainability and competitiveness:

- Basic Energy Use Assessment (Level 1)
- Detailed Energy Audit (Level 2)
- Energy Efficiency Improvements
- Erosion Control Structures *FHCU Enhanced*
- Equipment and Technology to Enhance Manure Storage
- Equipment Modifications to Improve Manure Application *FHCU Enhanced*
- Equipment Modifications to Reduce Soil Compaction
- Nutrient Application Equipment Modifications *FHCU Enhanced*
- Nutrient Management and Soil Health Planning *FHCU Enhanced*
- Larger-Scale Energy Efficiency Improvements
*FHCU Enhanced* funding is available for select phosphorus reduction projects in the Lake Erie and Lake St. Clair watersheds.
Application Requirements:
Completed and verified Environmental Farm Plan (EFP).
- A completed Farmland Health Check-Up (FHCU) is also required for select phosphorus reduction projects in the Lake Erie and Lake St. Clair watersheds.
- A copy of an audit report for a completed Level 2 Detailed Energy Audit is required for projects in the Larger-Scale Energy Efficiency Improvements category.
